Every year when designing Christmas cards and picking out which colors to use, I always migrate to some shade of purple and this year was no exception. Fresh Fig from the 2017-2019 In Colors was an instant favorite and I love how it looks when paired with Crumb Cake. I knew I wanted to keep the card fairly simple and use a layout that works for just about any type card your choose.
I started with the Fresh Fig base and added a layer of Crumb Cake that I ran thru the Big Shot using the Holly Embossing Folder. It’s always an instant wow when you take the paper out of the folder and see how pretty the image is. I added a strip of the Fresh Fig striped DSP from the Eastern Palace Specialty paper which gave it just the break it needed. I stamped the reindeer in Crumb Cake on Whisper White and added the Christmas Wishes sentiment in Fresh Fig. I then punched it out with the 2″ circle and layered it on a coordinating Fresh Fig Stitched Circle. The Stitched Shape Frameslits have become one of my go to die sets. Something about that delicate stitching just adds a little something to an already cute image. Thre image was then popped up on dimensionals and added to the card. I finished it up with a few touches of Wink a Stella (this stuff is yummy and so clean & easy to use) on some of the berries. A quick and easy card that still packs a punch and is easy to duplicate.
