I am absolutely in love with all the products in the Share What You Love Suite found on page 176-177 of the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  This gorgeous suite was featured in a May Sneak Peek promotion that Stampin’ Up! did prior to the release of the new catalog and it got rave reviews from demonstrators and customers. This Designer Series Paper has quickly become one of my all time favorites and I knew that I wanted to do something fun with it as well as some of the other products for my monthly Flex Club.

Decisions Decisions …. What to create?

With Mother’s day right around the corner, it only made sense to do some kind of box that would hold several cards and one of our Acetate Card Boxes was the obvious choice.  I’m so glad that Stampin’ Up! included them in the new product offerings!  Wanting to keep it simple but elegant in case my clubbers decided to give it as a gift, this is what I came up with! I use the Love What You Do stamp set which is just one of two stamp sets in the suite! Do you notice all the other new products?  The picture doesn’t do it justice with showing off the pearlized finish on both the DSP and the new doilies as well as the luscious Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon.  It’s so incredibly soft and very easy to work with.  I finished the main focal point off with one of the silver adhesive backed roses from the SWYL Embellishment Kit.

Four Cards that will fit perfectly…..

Two of the cards feature the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper and show a creative way to use up your DSP instead of hoarding them!  You can actually get 12 cards out of one sheet of 12×12 with this fun idea that was shared by fellow demonstrator Ronda Wade.  If you’d like a closer view of any of the cards, simply click on the picture. The trick is to take your standard card, folded in half and on one half cut at 3-1/4 inches leaving a 1 inch flap.   Add a small strip (in this case Basic Black) to the flap and then attach a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of your DSP making sure to line up on the right edge before adhering the flap.  Whoever receives a card made like this will love getting to enjoy not one but two sides of our beautiful papers when they open the card.

The other two cards feature the new Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (try saying that 3 times fast).  One card keeps the gorgeous impression as a simple background and the other uses the impression as the main focal point that has been sponged with daubers.  I’m really pleased with how they turned out and show the versatility of our embossing folders to add that wow factor to your cards.   Since I made these cards for my May Flex Club and the retirement list was active at the time, you’ll notice I did use some of the retiring colors/products (Marina Mist & Sweet Sugarplum) one last time before they left for good!  Definitely a little sad that Marina Mist retired but the new Color Revamp offers so many new options that will quickly become new favorites!

Final Result!

Here’s the end result after the cards were added to the decorated acrylic box (which I forget to include in the product list below – Item#144628).  These boxes are a great addition to your crafting supplies for gift making or just storing your finished cards.  There are 10 in a package for $7.00.  That’s a great deal!
