In With the New!

It’s crazy that it’s already January 14, 2022 and time for another Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!  This month’s theme is In With The New which is perfect considering we have so many new products available with the release of January-June 2022 Mini Catalog!

There is so much to LOVE about this catalog!  There are gorgeous suites, bundles galore, and some of the cutest stamps sets ever!  There also 8 new Designer Series Papers (be sure to check out my Paper Share going on thru January 31st), 4 new Embossing Folders, 6 new Punches, 7 new Ribbons, and 12 New Embellishments, plus lots more I didn’t mention.   You can click the picture above to download it, or if you’d like your own hard copy and don’t already work with a demonstrator, please let me know and I’ll be happy to send you a copy!

Sentimental Swirls!

For my project this month, I went with one of my FAFS (favorites at first sight).  It was shared with demonstrators back in November as a sneak peek of upcoming products and I knew I had to have it.   It’s called Sentimental Swirls (157996) and was designed by Sam Hammond who is the first Million Dollar Sales Achiever from the UK.  The set includes 27 stamps that are intended for two step stamping but can easily be used individually along with four of the most commonly used sentiments – Thank You, Happy Birthday, Hello, and For You!  I definitely put it at the top of my list for new stampers!  Especially with the versatility plus the price point — $22.00 for 27 stamps — WOWSER!!

I started with a Flirty Flamingo base and paired it with a Just Jade layer.  Next, I did my stamping on a Basic White Layer using Memento Black, Flirty Flamingo, Just Jade, and Bumblebee.  The outline images were stamped in full force ink, while the fill in image was stamped off one time before adding to the image.

Did you notice that popped up flowers?  These coordinate with the Flowers & Leaves punch (155373 $18.00) from the Annual Catalog.  Another reason why I love this set.  And yes, there is a leaf stamp that matches too!   Once I had them stamped and punched out, I laid them on my paper piercing mat and using the end of my You Pick Tool, pushed into the center of each one while giving it a little twist.  This caused the petals to pop adding dimension.  I added these to my project with a mini glue dot and finished them with a Gold Metallic Pearl in the center.

The Basic White layer was added flat to the Just Jade layer and the mounted piece was added to the card base with dimensionals.

You’ll find all the products used listed below in the Supply List and if you’d like to order any/all of them, just click the add to cart button to go to my online store!  Be sure to use the January Host Code: 34AH4UWD when you check out and you’ll receive a little Thank You gift from me!
